Legal
Terms and Conditions
Last updated 1 September 2026
This is a working draft, written to describe how Levi.art actually operates today. It isn’t legal advice — have a qualified lawyer review it before relying on it, especially before the site goes live for real customers.
These terms apply whenever you browse Levi.art, commission a portrait, or buy a print or piece of merchandise from us. By using the site or placing an order, you’re agreeing to them. Levi.art is run by Levi, a Christian visual artist based in Nairobi, Kenya — this isn’t a conventional store, and the terms below reflect that it’s one artist’s work, made largely to order.
Original artwork and prints
Every original piece is one of a kind — once it’s sold, it’s gone. We describe each piece’s materials, dimensions, and story as accurately as we can, but colors may look slightly different on your screen than in person. Fine art prints are produced in limited editions, signed and numbered, with the edition size shown on each listing — we don’t print beyond that number.
Commissions
A commission moves through review, approval, a deposit paid via M-Pesa, drawing, Levi’s own review, completion, and delivery to you. The usual minimum turnaround is 3 days from approval; a shorter deadline may be possible but needs Levi’s agreement first. Any reference photo you upload is used only to create your piece — we won’t publish it or share it elsewhere without asking you first.
Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in Kenyan Shillings (KES), with an approximate US Dollar (USD) amount for reference — the KES price is the one that actually applies; we don’t recalculate it against live exchange rates. Payment for prints, merchandise, and commission deposits is currently made by hand, via M-Pesa Buy Goods to Levi’s till number shown at checkout — Levi confirms each payment personally. There is no automatic online card payment yet.
Delivery
Delivery within Nairobi CBD is free. Elsewhere in Nairobi, delivery is arranged by Uber at cost; outside Nairobi, by courier, also at cost — the exact fee is confirmed with you before your order is finalized. Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees, since they depend on the courier or driver.
Cancellations and refunds
Because a commission is made specifically for you, the deposit is generally non-refundable once Levi has started work — the clear exception being if Levi is genuinely unable to complete it. For prints and merchandise, if what arrives is damaged or defective, contact Levi within a reasonable time of receiving it and we’ll sort out a replacement or refund. Since prints and merchandise are made to order, we can’t offer a refund for a simple change of mind once production has begun.
Intellectual property
Every artwork, photograph, and design on this site remains Levi’s copyright. Buying an original piece or a print gives you ownership of that physical object — it doesn’t give you the right to reproduce, print, or use the image commercially without Levi’s written permission.
Using this site
Please don’t attempt to access the admin dashboard, interfere with the site’s normal operation, or use it for anything unlawful. We reserve the right to decline a commission or order at our discretion.

This site and its content are provided as they are. To the extent allowed by law, Levi.art isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t legally be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
